Gray Collegiate Academy would like to thank you for playing in the Capital City Cup. We also would like to welcome you to GCA and share the following information in regard to your visit. Our address is 3833 Leaphart Rd, West Columbia, SC 29169.
Directions to the Stadium: There is one main entrance to the school, but do not take that entrance. The stadium is brand new (this will be the first event held in the stadium) and there is a tremendous amount of construction still on-going to the new baseball and softball fields being built adjacently. Please use the Construction Entrance off Vanarsdale Drive which is just beyond the main entrance to the school. There will be playoff basketball game traffic as well at this entrance Tuesday/Wednesday nights, so be patient. The road is crush-and-run so drive slow (10 mph). The stadium is 0.5 miles from the Construction entrance. Parking is restricted to the areas under the power lines in front of the stadium. Handicap parking is available as well.
Dressing area for Pregame: Currently, there is no dressing area at the stadium site, so please plan accordingly. We have portable trailer restrooms (not port-a-johns).
Uniforms: The team listed first on the schedule is the home team and should wear dark jerseys and socks.
Warm-up: Teams will sit on the ‘visitors’ side of the stadium, but this area is off-limits to spectators. The team listed as the home team will warmup on the far end of the stadium, while the team listed as visitor will warmup on the end closest to the parking lot. Ball boys will be working the perimeter of the facility to keep the game moving.
Trainers and Water: We will have athletic trainers on site for all games. Water will be provided on each bench but teams must bring their own water bottles. Also, please bring athletic tape to give to our trainers if players need to be wrapped for game play.
Tourney Gear: BSN has provided a Select soccer ball for each team to use during the tourney. Also, each head coach will receive a hoodie. Please pick up at the GCA tent upon arrival.
Ticket Prices: Please, notify your parents and fans that the “All Tournament Pass” is $20. The tournament pass will get them into any game at any site over the 5 days. There will also be $10 daily tickets available which are good for any game that day only. Children 6 and under are free and SCHSL passes are the only passes accepted for admission. Tell your supporters to make sure they purchase their tickets via GoFan.co in advance. Tickets will be redeemed under the GCA tent at the stadium entrance off the concrete sidewalk. All seating will be on the press box side of the stadium and is limited to 250 paid patrons per contest. NO CASH WILL BE ACCEPTED — please relay this to your supporters!
